Our client is an international leading group in kitchen ventilation and cooking solutions, and is looking to hire an Area Manager for Portugal to develop the business across:
• Retail channel, where we the company are present with the Turboair brand
• Kitchen channel, where the company operate with the brand
The company are increasingly becoming a relevant and strategic player in the cooking world, driving growth through high-end products, innovative design, and advanced technology. This position does not start from scratch. The company already has an active customer base registered in Portugal, both in retail and kitchen channels.
The objective of the new Area Manager will be to:
• Consolidate the existing customer base
• Professionalise account management
• Expand distribution
• Open new strategic accounts
• Increase market share
This is a growth acceleration and expansion project.
Ideally, the candidate should be based in Lisbon, considering that the retail channel involves managing key accounts across the entire country, and a central location enables more effective national coverage. In the Kitchen channel, the company currently work with a distributor in the north. From that point southwards, it will be necessary to develop Kitchen Studio-type customers through daily sales visits, with a strong focus on progressive expansion of the specialised channel.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsible for the full commercial development of Portugal:
• Management and growth of existing customer portfolio
• Acquisition of new accounts
• Negotiation with buying groups and central purchasing organisations
• Development of specialised channels
• Local implementation of the group’s commercial strategy
CHANNELS AND SCOPE:
Retail Channel
Includes:
• Large specialised retail chains
• Buying groups
• Regional and independent retailers
The company already has active customers in this channel, which require:
• Further development
• Increased presence
• Improved in-store execution
• More strategic negotiations
The profile will need to combine:
✔ Management of active accounts
✔ Acquisition of new groups and central organisations
✔ Annual commercial negotiations
Kitchen Channel
• Kitchen specialist stores
• Architecture studios
• Furniture manufacturers
There is already an active customer base with strong expansion potential.
The objectives are:
• Increase distribution in premium kitchen studios
• Professionalise follow-up and account management
• Introduce full product range
• Develop specification/prescription activity
• Open new strategic accounts
IDEAL PROFILE
• A profile focused on developing and consolidating an existing customer base, with the ability to maximise the potential of active accounts.
• A strong commercial expansion mindset, capable of acquiring new customers and increasing market share against established competitors.
We are not looking for a simple account manager.
We are looking for someone who can scale an existing base and expand the territory.
